Music that Moves Us

This morning started out with Week 2 Day 2 of the Couch to 5k program. If you are thinking about becoming more active this is a great way to start. It also gives your mornings a little something extra! Luckily I have a treadmill at home so I don’t have to run into town to work out at a gym.

The big black box next to my treadmill on the wall is a crank phone. If someone rings it anywhere on camp it rings in our bedroom. It’s lovely when the campers come out and they decide to try it at 2AM. It also kinda freaks me out; it has a tendency to slightly ring on it’s own every once in a while. *Camp ghosts!*

Working out is very much a mental process for me. I tend to get stuck easily when I think too much. Turning on Pandora and listening to some great tunes is an excellent escape. I was wanting something upbeat this morning so I went to a rap station, that was a horrible choice! Too much negativity in the morning, I need some inspiration to get this body moving. Luckily I went to my “go-to” station, Katy Perry. She always has upbeat songs that get me pumped 🙂

After my workout I headed straight for the shower then to went to blend up a Green Monster, which can be found at http://www.pbfingers.com in her smoothie section. Definately worth a look, and a taste!

In other news…The iPhone White came out today, looks pretty awesome, but not awesome enough to trade in right now.
